hey masses, anyone replaced their blower motor, not having a fan is brutal.

I have taken the bottom apart and glovebox out to have a looksie but it looks very tight and brutal to take apart

i have checked all the fuses and pulled the heater control panel out to check everything looks ok

if anyone has any ideas that would be great

Could be a power module too.

You also might want to try a recalibration of your A/C:
1. Start engine, don't move car
2. Set temp control to 75 degrees
3. Press and hold the Floor, Mix (vent/defrost) and Defrost buttons at the same time; the floor is a bottom button and the others are upper
4. The control head will blink and give a code. The code will help lead you to your problem.

Either pull fuse 19 or disconnect the battery a few minutes. That should reset for 36

whew thanks I will try that because I cannot find what code 36 is anywhere. I am leanning towards the blower motor is rusted up and needs replacing but I hope not because I did find the job details and its gonna be huge job

well code 24 is now gone I found the blower motor and hot wired it and it ran just fine. i checked the one relay and it had power in and out of it to the motor but the motor never spun at all so I am now lost maybe it is the heater control panel that is shot

turns out it was a modual under the dash that is stuck into the duct to help the automatic control I guess. I changed it out and everything is good

ok so i was pretty much having the same problem in my 1999 300m the controls all work but there was nothing blowing out of the vents. so i got the error code and it was 36 so i pulled fuse 19 and now i dont get any error code and there is still nothing blowing out of the vents. any ideas

The only suggestion after all of this is to do exactly what Putski did. If you are handy with a multimeter you can chase down circuits.

i was gonna try and change the blower motor resistor would that be the modual that putski is refering to. if not does anyone know where the resistor is.
