Anoying Hum! grand am gt

Could someone please help me. I have a 2000 Grand am GT that just loves to keep on pissing me off:banghead: . At first there’s was a hum and vibration coming from the front drivers side. I first replaced the hub assembly to no successes. After that i replaced the cv joint. The vibration is gone but the hum is still there. The hum starts picking up around 30 mph and gets louder, but once i get up to a constant speed it evens out and dies down a little? It dose it in all gears and in neutral. This annoyance didn’t really start Intel the beginning of winter. What could it be? could the tire be out of balance, low tyranny oil? any help would be much appreciated.:confused:

If its only hummin when you are moving then the other bearing is likly bad.

If it does it setting still, then it could be your transmission or some other engine component, water pump, power steering, alternator etc etc.

You'll have to check under the hood to isolate this noise.

What brand of Hub was installed ?
And was an impact tool used on install ?

Could just be a brake dragging.
Double check that the wear indicator is on the inside of the rotor.
Check the pad return clips on top of the caliper, and make sire the slides are greased and working.

i got the hub from napa less than two weeks ago, and i used a torque wrench to install the new hub.

Sounds like you have other problems then, Napa has the better Hubs.

These should be replaced in pairs just as brakes.
