Im building my 82 toyota into a crawler and there isnt enough room inside and i want to put on a extended cab to solve my problem but they only come on the later model trucks, will the later model cabs bolt up to my frame?

Yes, a 2nd gen cab will fit your 1st gen frame with a little work. I have a 2nd gen 2WD cab/bed on my 1st gen 4WD frame. There will be a little more fab work involved to put an xtra cab on (2 more cab mounts) but it's defenitely doable.

You'll have to add 2 body mounts to the frame for the xtra cab, and make an adapter of sorts for the front body mounts (in front of the radiator). The spacing between them is too far.
The front mounts inside the cab (at your feet) have to be egged out a little to line up.

so my newer cab and the harness that is already set in.. that will all go over onto my old engine.. i just dont have to hook up the fuel injector..

in addtion, i have a electric fuel pump already installed on old.

that is if you were responding to me..

Curtis

sorry to sound stupid.. but it seem that i would just hook up to the distributor . right

It's best to use the wiring and ECM that goes with whatever engine is being used.
