99 GA GT, ABS and brake light on

I have a 99 GA GT, with ABS and brake light on. Jacked up and spun the rear wheels while someone pressed the brake, the wheel kept spinning (both with engine on and off, and both wheels). The E-brake works fine.

I checked the master cyl by loosening the lines with brake pedal pressure and verified fluid squirted out, and pedal dropped.

Anyone have any ideas?

Thanks

Welcome to AF.

You will need an ABS capable scanner tool to see why your ABS & brake lights are on.

Though, one thing right off I think of that would trip those lights would be low fluid or a loose brake switch.

I assume your rear wheels are disc's ?
With the brakes not grabbing if they are wore past 1/16" they may not work properly.
Or the calipers are not working properly, check the slides and return clips.

Hope that helps.

The calipers are ok. I don't have any brake pressure coming out of the ABS module, fronts are working. Does the ABS go into some kind of safe mod where it cuts off pressure to the rear wheels if it has a problem?
