Remember when...(the thread for sh*t talking in a jokingly-ok-manner)CivRacer95 01-04-2008, 08:54 PM I HADOKENED THE HELL OUT OF MUSASHI!!!! http://a305.ac-images.myspacecdn.com/images01/102/l_af28d4d7dfa0ec09090feb84b01b2e38.jpg Ah...the good old days. I miss them so much... -Josh- 01-05-2008, 12:16 AM The days of yore...when men were men and civ was a stick figure injun who was unstoppable.... Now..it's just not the same... CassiesMan 01-05-2008, 01:19 AM Can't really say I do remember that. -The Stig- 01-05-2008, 01:25 AM I remember those days... oh... I remember them well. http://i207.photobucket.com/albums/bb68/Matty40000/Civmushstig.jpg Polygon 01-05-2008, 01:29 AM Man, that was a while ago, but not quite the good ol' days for me. The good ol' days for me was like..... in...... 2001. -The Stig- 01-05-2008, 01:31 AM You were only a member of AF for 3 monts back in 2001... you couldn't possibly of enjoyed being a noob... Polygon 01-05-2008, 01:58 AM Normally I would agree, but I didn't get treated like one and I miss a lot of the members from when I first started posting and I posted a lot more than I do now. :sadwavey: -The Stig- 01-05-2008, 02:00 AM Normally I would agree, but I didn't get treated like one and I miss a lot of the members from when I first started posting and I posted a lot more than I do now. :sadwavey: Time to make up for lost time n00b! Yeah, lots of good members have left us from way back in the day... :shakehead Polygon 01-05-2008, 02:45 AM Time to make up for lost time n00b! Wait, you can't I have a BAN STICK and by damn I'll use it. But, um...... wait....... CassiesMan 01-05-2008, 10:52 AM Every now and then, when I'm feeling nostalgic, I'll just click back to go to the earliest post the board shows, usually pretty far back to. Man ya'll used to be a bunch of ricers. Ricer! I was never a ricer. Where's that ban stick? CivRacer95 01-05-2008, 10:16 PM Every now and then, when I'm feeling nostalgic, I'll just click back to go to the earliest post the board shows, usually pretty far back to. Man ya'll used to be a bunch of ricers. Don't count yourself out. You were just as much a ricer as some of us back in those days too. We all had our moments back when we were in the "noob" category. I still remember getting beat by a few ricers and not knowing what the hell was going on...considering that fact that I was in a stock Civic no less. But to me, at the time, I was just getting into racing and thought my Civic was going to be the shit! LOL! Yep, those were the days. Probably one of my favorite threads was the one after all the mods were "supposedly" banned, called the "Faaassstt and the Furrrioosss" thread. Everyone made a chain of their own stories to add to the thread and continue it. That's when my PaINt sKilLZ got MaDd TytE KRedZ yooOO!!! Either way...I wish some members would come back here and drop a line. Streetracer_00. Drftk1d. Mr. Sinister. TypeS. Chexmixa. There's quite a few that aren't listed, but I'm sure if they stopped in, they would see it. It's still good to see that the few originals are still here. AF is still my number 1 forum to visit. As long as things don't get out of whack...I plan on coming back everyday. TatII 01-06-2008, 10:49 PM yeah AF seems to have slowed down a lot. we need more idiots to join so we can tear them a new one. oh well. CassiesMan 01-07-2008, 01:24 AM What we need is something truly epic, along the lines of a Nick Sitko, or Charlie Wenzel. In a way, its nice when a mod just jumps down someones throat and shuts that shit down fast...but damn, why can't we get any 75-80 page long threads in about four days. Chiquae07 01-09-2008, 02:29 AM we had a bunch of us just posting and discussing things about a year ago. it seemed to have died now. everyone found forums for their cars, and forgot about this place. it seems that not too many people lurk here in the racing section that much anymore. -The Stig- 01-09-2008, 06:44 PM The problem is... I haven't been around to stoke the fires of this place. I need a new car to get out there and cause havoc!... and write some threads. See what happens when you sell your toys for a Truck and get a Bike? ... not much! A new toy would be nice... maybe if I get the raise I'm looking at getting... then we'll see. :) Have faith my fellow AF'ers... the race section shall flourish once again!..... or we'll just have something to talk about. ;) Polygon 01-10-2008, 01:44 AM Yeah, once I get all the crap on my cars this spring there will be plenty of threads with me acting like a complete jackass with the cars. Not to worry. :icon16: youngvr4 01-10-2008, 05:40 AM we just need to get a lil more creative. what ever happen to the discussions of car comparisons? which would you wrather have and why. those were the discussions that use to keep things alive back in the day. now its kinda dead, almost as if we reached a height of car wisdom to were everyone is on the same page damn near and no arguemnts are coming about. this place is dead without some debating imo CassiesMan 01-10-2008, 10:50 AM Yeah, once I get all the crap on my cars this spring there will be plenty of threads with me acting like a complete jackass with the cars. Not to worry. :icon16: +1. New intake is in the mail, AccessPort is comming soon along with a custom TBE, TurboXS BPV, new IC, and some other go fast goodies. Depending on how fast Cobb wants to move, I should be good to go by late April, then its gonna be fun time. BTW man, have you seen any Skylines running around? Some bullshitter here on AF claims to be in Utah with a tuned Skyline. http://www.automotiveforums.com/vbulletin/showthread.php?p=5594770&posted=1#post5594770 I mean, I once saw an Accord made to look like a Skyline. Albeit a Skyline that looked like it was beaten with an ugly stick. Also, another little tidbit. I was going to the hospital today and came across a green V6 Mustang. The kid driving it was a douche. Had his hat cocked to the side and a bandanna on underneath. He pulled up next to me and tried to get me to race. Being how hard up I am for a race I would have put him in his place but the traffic was so thick I would have gone into the car in front of me had I goosed the gas. What a tool box. Probably was this Skyline Need for Speed dork..... :grinno: kris 01-11-2008, 08:35 AM Eh, I don't think there are any R34's out here. That's pretty big news, and it spreads fast. There are a few R32,GTS' and one was just up for sale a few months ago. CivRacer95 01-11-2008, 12:43 PM I'd say your most likely bet to find anyone with a Skyline would be in the SLC area. But for some kid, to even buy an R34, not to mention import it, pay all the legal fees, yada yada yada, would take a good amount of $cash$. In a nutshell, I don't think someone like that kid could afford anything much more than a Honda Civic. VR43000GT 01-11-2008, 02:23 PM I have only seen one skyline in person in my entire life. The guy who has it hangs out with our local 3S group. Polygon 01-11-2008, 02:42 PM Yeah, I knew there were a couple of R32s running around but, like Civ said, I don't think this kid's got the cash for it. Let alone a tuned one. GForce957 01-11-2008, 02:54 PM Dammit! Moppie closed that tuners vs muscles thread! See that's something that is missing right there. See that's something that is missing right there. You cant have these great threads when someone closes it in 2 minutes. It was just gonna get good too... Yup. Just like I said, look at these massive, 50+page threads that become internet legends. We shut shit like that down way to fast. We need to let it fester, and wait until threats pf physical violence come about before even starting the discussion of locking it. CivRacer95 01-11-2008, 03:39 PM Cassiesman...I'm physically going to kick your ass then. With that said, thread closed! Har har har...I'm not going to do that. Owning one is like buying jeans from walmart and then ripping holes in them and calling them Abercrombie and Fitch. Youngvr4: I don't even know where to start with you. You go from a bpu VR4 to a Lincoln car  that was probably stolen from some 55 year old guy that just realized he was having a midlife crisis. GForce: Well.....I just plain don't like you. J/k to all. ;) I thought we were trying to get some good controversy going. I was just trying to keep up. :eek7: It's ok guys, I drive a measly SL 3KGT. Its like owning a Honda Civic EX. This forum is one of the very early online community I've been a part of. This is the only place I found that's interesting where you can talk about street racing and not get banned, that's pretty much why i'm still here. Since then, i've found mr2oc.com (ultimate place for mr2 owners), and my local forum. Now, we can't talk about street racing, but there's ways around it ;). Those two are pretty much my "car forums" for now, too busy with life, and at this point, education is #1.
