I know this kit has had a paning for the lack of detail but as I dont have much time these days as I would like it gives me a chance to get a model finished....

Nice! Thanks for starting one of these. I've been curious to see one built.

The paint job is not too bad - as I can see the sidepanels reflecting on your building matt. The masking could be better - but hey - a quickie never ainīt the full 10 yards, right...?

True, best to learn on a cheap kit rather than a expensive MFH or Studio27 resin...

Overall a quick cheap and fun kit. Plus I have about 5 set of decals collected in the past including a "Leyton House" set so might have to build some more :) allways liked the looks of the Repsol ones

It looks very nice. The only thing I would recommend is putting something(spacer)behind the rear wheel aero covers as they should be flush with the face of the wheel. That's because the original Hasegawa kit never had wheel covers. Revell should have fixed that. You did a great job with what was in the kit.

Anyone know of aftermarket wheels that can be used on this kit? Maybe some BBS rims? I know of some for the Tamiya release, but none for this Hasegawa repop.

Thanks,

JB

Nicely done quickie! What blue did you use?
The Revell DE release of the Mercedes C9 in Kouros/Michelin markings has the Hasegawa BBS wheels for this car. I think Revell should have put both the Speedlines and the BBS wheels in this kit. The wheel fans don't really fit the Speedlines provided but do fit the other wheels from the Hasegawa Group C cars, either BBS, Rays and SSR.
