Transmission slip caused by Coil Pack

Wanted to place my notes for anybody to use. F150 4x4 Lariate 2001. Between 65mph and 75 mph with load, or going up hill, it felt like transmission slipped, felt, Thump thump. A few times the gear would totally slip and the RPM would rev to 5000 plus on highway. Release gas and transmission would engage....Service Engine Soon light came on 2 weeks ago before this happened, #7 misfire change Coil Pack #7. 2 days later Service Engine Soon light came back on, Code detected EGR Sensor problem. $70 part did not buy but bought Chilton Manual to trouble shoot all sensors. Turns out EGR valve Hose had a hole on backside which I could not see, $3 problem solved. Thought I fixed everything, Still had Thump Thump, getting worse. Transmission Shop "Cottonman" shot straight and told me it was not Tranny. Changed fuel filter first time in 163,000 miles, still thump thump on highway. Took to Ford, $106 later for diagnostics #8 misfire found. $60 later at O'Reileys, new plug and another Coil Pack, Problem solved. I removed and tested Coil Pack and Plug, great spark, but under load is where the problem is at.......Don't need new Transmission...2 days late Christmas gift....hope this helps anybody who thinks their transmission is going out because you have a thump thump, or Transmission totally slipping out of gear...
