I know this sounds stupid, but how do I remove the radiator cap on a 96 Lumina? I pressed down and turned left and it did unscrew, but there are metal lips that are folded over and I have no idea what to do now.

got it. next question:

How do the bleeder valves work? Do I loosen the top nut on the valve or the one below?

theres a bleeder on the thermostate housing and 2 on the rail on top of the engine. what are you trying to do? is the car runing hot? threre good for intake gaskets.

Car isn't running hot, however there is a slight gasket leak and some coolant finds its way into the cylinders as well as oil finding its way into the coolant. It isn't that bad right now, but I needed to do a coolant flush on the car (the low coolant light was on because of how contaminated the coolant was. The levels were fine). The oil looks fine as of now so I'm not in a very big rush to get the gasket done yet.
