Turn signals won't work gmbwrenchn 12-23-2007, 03:05 PM
95 Grand AM. The turn signals won't work all of a sudden. fuses are fine. At first the hazard lights would not work, now they do.{unexplainable} No turn signal lights, light up on the dash either. Please help. Thanks for any ideas. Also, this just seem to happen with the extreamly cold weather we have just got. xeroinfinity 12-24-2007, 09:17 AM If your flasher is good , then I'd say you need a new MF switch. Tonyr 12-24-2007, 02:31 PM I'm sure it's the multifunction switch too. My 2000 was doing the same thing. Got a new switch put in and everything works like new. gmbwrenchn 12-26-2007, 11:08 PM Now they work again. Didn't replace anything. But anyways, where is this mutifuntion switch located? In the column? What does it look like? Thanks. xeroinfinity 12-27-2007, 11:19 AM Here is a pic of the local (http://www.autozone.com/images/cds/gif/large/0900823d800e5a5a.gif)... And here is the link to the MFS removal (http://www.autozone.com/az/cds/en_us/0900823d/80/0e/5a/56/0900823d800e5a56/repairInfoPages.htm). Be carefull with that air bag!!! gmbwrenchn 12-27-2007, 10:26 PM Thanks much for that info. gmbwrenchn 01-06-2008, 07:11 PM Could you please send me additional info, or a link for disabling the srs system safely. That airbag scares me. I want to make sure it is disabled correctly...........that Auto Zone site has me going in circles trying to find how to disable it. Thanks. xeroinfinity 01-07-2008, 09:27 AM Its easy to disable the air bag(s). Just disconnect the battery and pull the AIR BAG (SRS) fuse(s). Then make sure you arent full of static electricity when touching the bag, that can set them off too. Then just set it aside while youre working on the MFS. edit>> I meant air bag fuses up there.
