bumby as he!!djnoodle 02-16-2003, 12:05 PM i dropped my car this weekend with dropzone coilovers. i put them on my stock shocks. they didnt come with instructions and i have never done that before, i was only armed with my haynes. well, we got the coilovers on and we set the coilovers the same for all 4(about 3/4 of an inch below the screws on the coilovers adjustable part) i drove it home last night and a little this morning and DAMN is it bumby as fu%&. i dont know if its because i have a donut on the back or if the springs are just brand new, anybody have an knowledge on this? djnoodle 02-16-2003, 12:11 PM heres a pic today sparq 02-16-2003, 04:07 PM Im sure the fact that you have a doughnut on your back is probably throwing your suspension out of whack. Get same size tires all around and then check. Vtec 02-16-2003, 06:02 PM Well for starters coilovers are not meant to be used with stock shocks so that don't help much for your ride and I'm guessing there a real aggresive spring with a high spring rate more for like running on the strip. Your best bet is to try some new shocks. Rice-Rocketeer 02-16-2003, 08:41 PM Damn meng, Joo on hydros. djnoodle 02-16-2003, 09:06 PM why is the front higher than the back even though i set them pretty much the same :( Vtec 02-16-2003, 10:27 PM Originally posted by djnoodle why is the front higher than the back even though i set them pretty much the same :( my coilovers are the same way you have more adjustment in the rear then in the front so just give a couple extra turns in the rear then in the front and it should level out. shepworldwide 02-17-2003, 08:11 AM look at that fender gap... are you sure you put coilovers on  djnoodle 02-18-2003, 10:39 AM yeah, i put them on, but i wanted to keep it high so when i get my rims today or tomorrow i can put them on and lower the springs from there limitk7 02-19-2003, 12:17 AM Originally posted by djnoodle DAMN is it bumby as fu%&. i dont know if its because i have a donut on the back or if the springs are just brand new, anybody have an knowledge on this? The bumps in your ride are the death spasms of your stock shocks, which can't effectively handle the lower ride. Plus, having coilover sleeves doesn't help. Sleeves on stock shocks ride harsher than lowering springs on stock shocks. You probably want to get some aftermarket shocks soon...or you can wait a little while, but your stock shocks will probably wear out. vBulletin®, Copyright ©2009, Jelsoft Enterprises Ltd.
