fuel injector?penguins_chic66 01-31-2003, 08:47 PM help, just had new engine put in my 95 trans sport 2days ago.everytime i put car in gear it dies, even if i give it gas while doing so. it doesn't idle at steady rpm. has died couple times just ideling but now doesn't stay running in gear... help!!!!! shari:( Scott 02 02-01-2003, 10:27 PM Sounds to me like its not getting any fuel. The electronic fuel injectors probably didn't get hooked up right in the engine replacement process. If i were you...take it to a local shop (if you can ;) ) or give the shop a call that did the replacement and see if they can get someone to come down and have a look. Sheri....when it does idle is the RPM like around 500? bowtiebandit 02-02-2003, 12:52 AM Basically what probably happened is when they disconnected the battery the computer lost its memory. Sometimes it will relearn its settings after a few days but if not I know as a dealership tech we can relearn it through the use of a scan tool. Scott 02 02-04-2003, 03:54 PM Thats the other posibility. I say they hooked some wiring up wrong. penguins_chic66 02-06-2003, 12:54 AM ends up being the lock up converter?? in transmission,we unplugged it and its fine and heard its ok to run it like that?? bowtiebandit 02-06-2003, 04:58 AM NOOO! if left unpluged the transmission will overheat. sounds like it is the TCC solenoid inside the trans, this sould not e to expensive to have repaired. penguins_chic66 02-06-2003, 07:14 AM :( this cars been one thing after another.... thanks will get back with my next problem when it happens... thanks so much Scott 02 02-07-2003, 12:23 AM Yes, do not unplug it. You will be looking at a LOT of money out of you pocket in a short time if you keep it like that. Whew.... penguins_chic66 02-07-2003, 12:44 PM thanks again ,should it be a problem around town a few days, until we get it worked on?:bloated: Scott 02 02-07-2003, 01:02 PM Might make it but once that tranny gets hot you are looking at wear and tear. How many miles are you going? penguins_chic66 02-07-2003, 08:49 PM hi again,we are looking into getting someone to fix it hopefully early next week.my boyfriend is driving to and from work a little far so we are going to go ahead and get it taken care of... why don't you just come fix it for me.. :D ;) thanks again Scott 02 02-07-2003, 09:52 PM LOL, hey you are from ohio.
