Q1: Ody trans on hilldavidmmz 01-24-2003, 01:45 PM We're looking at buying a 2000 Odyssey and have a couple questions (see next post.) In test-driving a few Odys (Odies?) we've noticed that if you stop on a hill, place it in Park and then take it out of park, it will roll back!! Is this something common to these mini-vans? Is it a sign of a tranny or torque converter problem? None of the other automatics we've owned have ever done this as dramatically. dave gunnmen01 01-30-2003, 08:34 PM Yes thats common for the ody. transmission.... gunnmen01 BullShifter 05-25-2003, 02:29 AM many automatic cars will move backwards on a hill @ idle. Odyssey tran's are going out left & right - Honda extended the factory warranty on the trans - 7yr-100K instead of 3yr-36k. Accords V6 same deal, Honda did great with this one vBulletin®, Copyright ©2009, Jelsoft Enterprises Ltd.
