Best handling (stock) 3 series318ti 01-20-2003, 12:18 PM Excluding the M series. NSX 01-22-2003, 08:23 PM What about the new 330ci with the M sport package? crayzayjay 01-24-2003, 01:30 PM all 3-series handle more or less the same, excluding sport packs. Otherwise all sport models handle the best, so a 330ci sport is about as good as it gets. E36 was more sporty and edgy than the E46, which is more controlled. lowridder11 01-24-2003, 06:01 PM all new 3 series handle nicely and are becoming more and more sporty. Can't wait for the 4 series NSX 01-24-2003, 06:45 PM  4 series? crayzayjay 01-24-2003, 07:48 PM 4-series is what the next 3 series coupe will be called lowrider, im gonna have to correct you, E36 is more sporty than E46 with respect to handling characteristics lowridder11 01-24-2003, 08:20 PM oh NSX 01-25-2003, 01:57 PM Originally posted by crayzayjay 4-series is what the next 3 series coupe will be called  :crying: NO!!! I love the 3-series! crayzayjay 01-25-2003, 02:22 PM dude, the 3-series isnt dying. Theyre just gonna call the 3-series coupe 4-series. the 3-series will be the sedan, 4-series coupe and convertible. although i hope they dont call the new M3 "M4". Now that would suck NSX 02-08-2003, 12:19 AM  That's ironic. BMW say they're commited to lower emmision, smaller displacement engines going to high revs to make their power; yet with cars like the M3-GTR and the constant increase in displacement of their cars, they seem to stray away from the original philosophy... Any thoughts on this? lowridder11 02-08-2003, 09:08 AM yah, u don't see to many M3 GTR's crayzayjay 02-08-2003, 09:18 AM Exactly. The M3GTR is hardly representative of BMW's general product. Besides, all manufacturers come out with these statements because its bad PR not to. Thats not to say BMW arent doing their bit.. if you look at car emissions today compared to 10-20 years ago the difference is astounding. lowridder11 02-09-2003, 08:13 AM excecept for the new 7series with V8 engines. crayzayjay 02-09-2003, 03:45 PM Do you wanna tell me what the 7-series makes up of BMW's unit sales? lowridder11 02-09-2003, 06:39 PM about every other car in Weston is a 745il crayzayjay 02-11-2003, 05:55 PM I dont know where Weston is, but its not representative of the general population... of any country! I work in probably the most prosperous area in London and I dont see that many 7's.... i see a lot of 5's, and plenty of 3's lowridder11 02-11-2003, 06:44 PM ya, your right. U have to be pretty wealthy to live in Fairfield County. U also see Ferrari's, Lambo's, Bently's, RR's, and plenty of Bimmers badboy325is 02-11-2003, 09:07 PM the m3 is a world class handling car, its on a higher level than a 3 series. However I have a 94 325is and my car handles awesome. its hard to believe that a car could handle better than mine, until you look at the m3 audiophile 08-14-2003, 02:33 AM why did u all pick 325? the 318 vastly outhandles the 325 since it has less engine weight, and as such, a better front-rear balance. Celsdogg 08-14-2003, 09:28 AM i have to drive a 318 sometime, i always here about how they couple hundred pound weight difference makes it handle so much better. . . mshephar 09-01-2003, 07:23 PM What about the 328 series? Cheers, Mark crayzayjay 09-08-2003, 11:04 AM The difference between 4 and 6 pots is not that big. All BMW's strive for 50/50 weight distribution. Answer: 318's and 328's both handle like a dream rasta0011 12-04-2003, 10:46 PM Exactly. The M3GTR is hardly representative of BMW's general product. Besides, all manufacturers come out with these statements because its bad PR not to. Thats not to say BMW arent doing their bit.. if you look at car emissions today compared to 10-20 years ago the difference is astounding. The GTR was made with a V8 only one thousand were made the first year and sold in europe. They had to meet a production quota of 1000 cars in order to use the engine in their F1 car. clutching 03-05-2004, 04:55 AM well. if bmw gonna call the new 3series coupe 4series,maybe that means the new m3(m4) gonna have a 4litre v8 engine. crayzayjay 03-05-2004, 05:02 AM Hi.
