Hey I have a 95 neon stock but I will be recently getting rid of it for a different neon Another 95 neon as this one is cursed I bought it previously wrecked and repaired but didnt know till I bought it but I was desperate so it didnt matter,
Now im have trouble NOT WRECKING IN IT everyone likes to run into me so I figure the car is cursed so while im looking for a new neon all I can find are auto trannies is there anyway I can put a manual trannie into an auto engine or is it not worth the bother?

It's not extremely hard to change over the trans. from auto to manual, I have a couple friends that have done it. And yes, it's worth doing. :)

Hmm, I've an automatic, wouldn't mind havin' a 5-speed... Does anyone know ROUGHLY how much a 5-speed would cost to buy and how much to put in?

Do it yourself! Find a tranny from a board member in your area and go from there. when done right it should'nt cost that much and I've heard its not difficult at all with the help of a friend or 2. Ever been to Neons.org? Check out their forum its loaded with info on this and you might find a MTX there pretty cheap. I did and will be doing the swap this year! remember theres 2 MTXs to...3.55 and 3.94 which is the sport trans.

Also, most places will give you a core charge for your old transaxle.
