Does anybody know what size valves are on a 5.0L from an 83 Caprice with a 4 BBL Quadrajet? I was just curious. I'm converting the engine to alcohol with a 750 CFM Quadrajet from a 78 C-10. Just a little note there. Rich 01-07-2003, 09:29 PM 1. Welcome to AF! :) 2. Sorry, I doubt that I can help you. I have a FSM for a 90 Caprice, but nothing older than that. Shortbus 01-09-2003, 11:02 AM Exhaust 1.50" Intake 1.84" Please note that I did not actually go out and find an 83 caprice 305 to measure the valves on, but these sizes are very common on RPO - LG4 engines from 1978 - 1988 305 passenger. The only way to be sure is to pull the head off and measure them. Good luck with your conversion and let me know if I can help you with anything else. :) 86CapMan 02-11-2005, 04:08 AM Exhaust 1.50" Intake 1.84" Please note that I did not actually go out and find an 83 caprice 305 to measure the valves on, but these sizes are very common on RPO - LG4 engines from 1978 - 1988 305 passenger. Horsepower is how fast you hit the wall Torque is how hard. ve1zp 11-16-2007, 09:22 AM I would like to put some 14014415 heads on my 350 I have 4 valve indents on my pistons and I have a Q-Jet and headers on the engine 60 thousand miles on the engine.Would like to get around 10 - 1 comp ..
