Got ticket for racing at the street racesjuicedRSXtype-s 09-30-2001, 07:33 AM Tonight was the first time I have ever raced my car (2002 Acura RSX Type-S), and what do you know, after chirping second gear the flashers come on. On the ticket it says "viol engage in speed contest from dead stop, wheels loosing traction, speeding acceleration". Anyone else ever experience this or know of someone who has? What will happen when I go to court? And for those of you who are curious, I was racing a CRX with a V-16 motor in it. Yes, I was in front at the moment! Dave Cavallino 09-30-2001, 03:48 PM v-16? Do you mean a b16, the integra engine? I looked at this and im a trying to figure out where to find a v16 engine and how youd fit it into a crx. They're so tiny. juicedRSXtype-s 09-30-2001, 04:02 PM I thought he said v-16 but I could have easily mistaken him for b-16. Dave hermunn123 09-30-2001, 06:48 PM hahaha.... a V16 in a CRX. that's some funny crap, especially since you believed him! gang$tarr 09-30-2001, 09:43 PM hahahahhaha V16.... lol :D the size of that would be like bigger than the entire car :D lol Heep 09-30-2001, 09:44 PM Now, now guys, honest mistake...don't give the guy crap for it... igor@af 09-30-2001, 10:08 PM [all you heartless people, look down the keyboard, and locate "b" then "v" - notice anything?] :finger: Welcome to AF Dave!:) edit-[After re-reading the thread, I realized that I'm wrong... ahahah!!] hermunn123 09-30-2001, 10:39 PM i'm not giving him crap, its just funny. he should be able to laugh about it too gang$tarr 09-30-2001, 11:29 PM b - v ??? what? DVSNCYNIKL 10-01-2001, 09:19 AM Well, from what I'm hearing from some of the people in here that live out there, they are passing some new laws which, if I'm not mistaken, could penalize you for just being in the area. It reallys sucks. As for what to do with your tickets. You could go to court and fight it, saying that the car is new, you weren't racing and that the clutch engages really quick which is why your tires chirped and it "looked" like you were racing. That could weed you out, but not for sure. Only other alternative is to just take the ticket, probably get points on your license(depends on local laws in your city, state), and your insurance might go up a bit. Just take a defensive driving course to erase the points. Hopefully that will also help out on the insurance. Later.:D Blue93G20 10-02-2001, 02:47 AM B16 is not in the integra.... It is in the SI ...but nice try the integra has a B18 Mrcoilover 10-05-2001, 10:01 AM true indeed. good detective skills. gang$tarr 10-05-2001, 04:14 PM Originally posted by igor@af [all you heartless people, look down the keyboard, and locate "b" then "v" - notice anything?] i don't get it?! somebody explain! Mrcoilover 10-06-2001, 12:02 PM gang$starr . he meant that the "b" is right next to the "v" I think on the keyboard, just hit the wrong key. gang$tarr 10-06-2001, 02:52 PM oh... i didn't notice him misspell anythin, so i thought it was something else :) Nizmolee 10-16-2001, 01:38 AM about the violation, fight this and deny anything about the burn out. cop has no proof of this.. also, if you lose, the ticket is expensive both ways and it is 2 points on your record. so pray for traffic schoool. GTS-4 Ben 10-16-2001, 11:14 AM The G2 Integra's have the B16.. even if it was in a CRX only going to pull high 14's at it's best.. Hate getting caught racing, been caught a couple of times.. you have to suck up real good. I have always got off.. damn lucky.. Polygon 10-24-2001, 04:05 PM I am surprised they didn't give you exhibition of power and or speed as well. vBulletin®, Copyright ©2009, Jelsoft Enterprises Ltd.
