Hey i just got my hands on an integra GS-R it is in really good shape has new tires and new clutch i have put some money away so that i could put some performance mods on my car i was wondering what i should do first im thinking intake header exhausts its a good combo but i want to know if i should get something else insted maybe a apwexi vtech controller or throttle body. I am open to suggestions and would really appreciate the help.

VTEC controllers are nice. how hard does ur VTEC kick? because i kno a few gsr's around here don't have much behind them. i've seen so many gsr's get pulled on by weaker cars. it really doesn't make sense always, but still...anyways, back to the topic. i'd say i/h/e set-up is a good start. then look into upgrading cams, pistons, rods, all that good stuff. im thinkin bout actually doin a 50 shot of NOS in my car, but its really all up to u an wut u want from ur car.

i like your set up i plan on getting a aem intake dc ceramic coated 4-2-1 headers and an apexi vtech controller. would that be good for starts or should i go with exhausts insted of controller? what type of exhaust dc? apexi? thermal?

Dc 4-1 headers make alot more power than the dc 4-2-1. I always try to get the hard expensive shit first like cams and other internal parts. I/H/E is always good but I'd go cams cam gears and v-afc first then when it comes time to afford the I/H/E you will lots bigger gains. Everyone always get I/H/E, springs and wheels first on their first car but never on the next one? I did the same with my crx then I got my teg got a close geared SIR tranny and some regrind cams...had the local shop make a decent exhaust...I made a make shift intake and stock header. I was running mid 15's up here in Utah with a motor that had 250k miles on it. No way I would have done that with I/H/E. Now I still have the stock header and makeshift intake and I have a fully rebuilt ls/vtec with port and polish head 5 angle valve grind and higher rev valve springs. Next mod CAMS!!!!!!!

very good points. i was simply sayin the simplest way to make power (inlcuding install). u haven't run ur ls/vtec at the track yet? heh, my buddy has one in a hatchback, an he runs quick. does ur 1st-2nd pull hard like nothin else? cuz his does.

yeah first gear after vtec has no traction second pulls hard...3rd is the best though!!! My motor still being broke in but in a couple hundered miles I have a 65 shot zex kit on it and I wanna see how it does.

nice, when u run it at the track, gimme a PM, i wanna know how u do. u gotta love the top vtec pull an the torque. the guy says his 3rd is his strongest, but his spins top of 1st, an chirps HARD into 2nd an it seems like he jumps. he whooped my gsr by about 2 1/2 cars. an that was w/ 150 extra weigh in his car (his g/f, an then 50 lbs of junk he was moving for his family). is urs in a h/b? or integra?
