Im serious about driving, i drive hard and fast and surprisingly since the day i got my license these cars (Avalons) have been able to keep up with me and many others (Including high-end luxury sports cars) as well. My info is in my sig, im working on pics of both of my cars until then enjoy these. http://www.angelfire.com/super2/blprice2/Avalon2BIG.jpg http://www.angelfire.com/super2/blprice2/MY_AvalonBIG.jpg This one is mine, with some cool graphics ;) Stefwilli 02-23-2003, 08:24 PM Welcome to the forum Kro$s, good to see other avalon owners that's into the aftermarket game. It seems to be very hard to get aftermarket parts for the avalon besides a wing and some tint. Sorry GUZZY but I don't have a digital cam to post pics.:( kro$s 02-23-2003, 10:18 PM Thanks for the welcome, yes it is nearly impossible to get parts that are made specifically for the Avalon. Your best bet looking for parts would be to get Camry ones, because the parts are interchangable (most at least i.e. intakes, exhausts, engines, tranny's, lighting). I'll post a few sites where you can get some goodies, just let me know what you all are interested in.:p Stefwilli 02-23-2003, 10:59 PM I want to change my front to a 98 wit the fogs and HID's, put some 20" wheels, a drop, and 3- TV's. So far I have clear lights, 16" chrome lexus wheels, and a system. My system is a double din 200 watt jensen, 3- 10" MTX 4000's, and a 600 watt kenwood. I know my wants are a bit much but, like a fine wine just give me time. kro$s 02-24-2003, 12:02 PM Sounds good, your going to do a little hunting for the front end, but it wont be that difficult to find, check junk/salvage yards first. So far as your rims are concerned you might want to check out this site before you throw 20's on, i suggest 18's with i drop at most but our cars are "custom" and this is just FYI. http://www.miata.net/garage/tirecalc.html Best place to get rims hands down would be www.wheelmax.com Check http://www.brightheadlights-hid.com/hid-toyota.htm http://www.hids4less.com http://www.eautoworks.com/html/Bulbs_search_action.cfm?car=TOYOTA http://www.autodynamic.com/ For your lights & suspension mods Stefwilli 02-24-2003, 06:09 PM I already found my parts at a website with really cheap parts. Trying to finding our car parts at a junk yard was a joke, I had no luck. About the 20" rims being too big, I realize that my speed readings will be off but it's only like 2 mph off. I am willing to take my chances with my off speed reading for that lexus look on the 20"s. Plus I already had a honda accord with 18's and a drop. I got the avalon because I knew that I could put 20" wheels with a 245/35/20 tire. I am pushing to get my rims by april, maybe by then I'll also have a digital cam to post pics. For my drop I plan to use Eibach pro-kit springs for a camry which is a 1" drop. I figure since the avalon is heavier it will drop down about 1.2" or 1.3". guZzy92FS 02-27-2003, 09:08 AM i think im gonna buy this clear front, thanks for the info guys, pictures will be posting when the lights arrive. :p kro$s 02-28-2003, 08:59 AM Originally posted by guZzy92FS i think im gonna buy this clear front, thanks for the info guys, pictures will be posting when the lights arrive. :p Clear front what? Stefwilli 02-28-2003, 09:06 AM Originally posted by kro$s Clear front what? That's what I was going to ask also. Guzzy if ur talking about the clear front bumper lenses, then ur not going to beable to find them because no one makes them for our cars. I had to make my own clear lenses. kro$s 02-28-2003, 09:12 AM Originally posted by Stefwilli That's what I was going to ask also. Actually thats not quite true Stef, the ones made for the Carmy's will fit our cars. http://www.sounddomain.com/sku/APC402032BL Stefwilli 02-28-2003, 09:22 AM Originally posted by kro$s Actually thats not quite true Stef, the ones made for the Carmy's will fit our cars. http://www.sounddomain.com/sku/APC402032BL Does it have to be any modifications done to the lense to make it fit? Also I'm have trouble finding the fog lights for the 98 avalon and I'm trying to avoid going to toyota. Speaking of toyota, I went on a interview yesterday to be a toyota car sales men. Things went so well that I'm meeting the sales leader and the general manager for lunch on Monday. Wish me luck. kro$s 02-28-2003, 09:33 AM Originally posted by Stefwilli Does it have to be any modifications done to the lense to make it fit? Hey man good luck, now we'll have a man on the "inside" get us some discounts on these parts ;) Im not sure if any mods have to be done, when I put mine on i'll let you know (not about to put'em on with all the bad weather we've had) Were you looking for the stock fogs to fit in the actual slots on the front end? Or just a pair of nice fogs to add yourself? Stefwilli 02-28-2003, 09:48 AM Even with the discount it will still probably be cheaper to go after market but I'll keep you guys posted on that. I want the stock fogs because they fill up the whole space. I don't like to see empty spaces in the front of a car. Stefwilli 03-14-2003, 12:20 AM I got some pics of my Po mans lex. The car is a 95 avalon with a 200 watt jensen double din head unit, a 600 watt 2ch kenwood amp, 3-10" MTX4000, and clear lights. C:\Documents and Settings\Sandra Williams\My Documents\My Pictures\838607234_468_2.jpg BTW: I got the job at toyota so the mods for the avy should be rollin in soon now that the finances will be coming in. kro$s 03-14-2003, 05:53 AM Originally posted by Stefwilli I got some pics of my Po mans lex. Can't see the pics, did you get the clear corners? Stefwilli 03-14-2003, 08:55 PM I have an account on cardomain.com. Just go to the toyotas, then click avalon. My account is on the second page and it says, stefwilli's black avy. Let me know if there's any problems with that. kro$s 04-17-2003, 10:11 AM It's Spring time :sun: and the weather is getting vicious, i've got some pics of my 2000 XLS. She's stock (minus the new PIAA's which im working on pictures of) and she's still gorgeous, im considering getting some 18's for her but im trying to revive my 96. Updates and a Cardomain profile coming soon. Stefwilli 04-25-2003, 03:02 AM Your 2000 avalon is clean as hell. It's like you just took it off of the showroom floor last week. What's your plans for it? kro$s 04-30-2003, 12:58 PM Originally posted by Stefwilli Your 2000 avalon is clean as hell. It's like you just took it off of the showroom floor last week. What's your plans for it? Thanks man, i like to keep her fresh and clean. Im planning to put some nice 18's on her (Still trying to decide on chrome or not) im looking for a good amp becuz thats all the factory system needs, I just added some PIAA superwhites, and im going to do the highbeams next. Im looking into some suspension mods because as of right now her performance capabilities are severely limited especially compared to my 96 which I have built as low profile performance automobile. She glides, and I love that because it truely feels like a luxury car, but i want to be able to eat up the road and caress the curves when and if i so choose. So i'll start with the rims for handling and depending on how she responds i'll go from there. javalon 09-03-2003, 11:09 AM you can view my page here: cut and paste..... http://www.cardomain.com/member_pages/view_page.pl?page_id=227169&make_type_query=make%3DToyota&model_brand_query=model%3DAvalon&tree=Toyota%20Avalon javalon 09-03-2003, 11:29 AM javalon 09-03-2003, 11:32 AM Here's My Trunk! vBulletin®, Copyright ©2009, Jelsoft Enterprises Ltd.
