A Classic Del Sol vs CRXSolReaver 02-28-2001, 10:49 AM which one? I would go with the Del Sol.even though it's heavier than the CRX there alway's an egine swap B18C5. An instant gain of 30HP CRX 1991 hp:108 weight:2178 Del Sol 1995 hp:160 weight:2520 enzo@af 03-04-2001, 01:07 PM I'd take the Del Sol. Better looks, plenty of potential, and you get a targa top. I don't think the CRX is very good looking. gang$tarr 03-04-2001, 06:59 PM yeah, i think the CRX is pretty ugly JD@af 03-11-2001, 07:56 PM I'd go CRX. Yeah, it's small and light, and you sacrifice some aspects of your car-driving experience for the sake of performance (or better gas mileage - whatever your fancy), but I've seen some quite handsome CRX's in my day. If you are a serious Honda racer, much of the work in removing extra weight from your car is already done in the CRX. Without having to substitute chassis parts with more lightweight materials, you already have a very light unibody to work with. justin@af 03-14-2001, 09:37 AM Yeah i would also go with the sol. More power, and comparing stock for stock...the sol with vtec would beat the crx. IMO it also looks better.;) justin@af 03-14-2001, 09:38 AM Like JD said it would also be very easy to make a crx faster than a sol with the money you save. VTEC V6 03-25-2001, 11:24 AM yep, id go wit the DEL SOL too looks so much better, instant convertible has the design of a super car 2-seater flat rear window!! plus u can always do engine swaps and turbos and stuff to the del sol jus as u can do to the crx VenomInMyVeins 10-06-2003, 08:43 AM I'd say depends on what you're wanting it for. A crx has a lot of potential as a drag queen, but is that really what you want? The del sol would probably be a better car for the streets because of it's cruise value (the targa top get's the chix... we have a topless sol club in colo) and because the handling would be better. But I've seen a 600hp na crx w/ 16:1 compression. total badass car. So I guess it's all up to your tastes, and what you're doin w/ the car vBulletin®, Copyright ©2009, Jelsoft Enterprises Ltd.
