The original tires on my GA are 225/50/16
Does anyone knows if a tire 225/60/16 would be ok for this car.
I'm worried about rubbing of the tire inside the wheel well.

Pease suggestions

Thank You

I really doubt you will have an issue with the taller tire since you are only increasing them by 10mm. Although if you are purchasing a set stick with the 50 series.

Rear clearance isn't an issue, but they might rub in the front if turning the wheel all the way in either direction, plus check the amount of room between the tire and the strut. I know some of them are very close.

The 225/60/16 is actually much larger.

To figure tire diameter in inches (if you have Excel) paste "=(((B2/10)/2.54)*(C2/100))*2+D2" into cell A1. I think that's right, I used to be great at math, but after not doing any for so long, my brain actually hurt while tryting to think of that.

B2 is section width (the first number of the size)
C2 is the sidewall (second number of the size)
D2 is the rim size.

The metric tire sizes are plain dumb if you ask me. The 60 series is not 10mm larger than a 50 series. The first number is the section width in milimeters. The second number is the sidewall height (as a percentage of the width). The third, of course is the rim size.

60 series is 26.629" diameter
50 series is 24.858" diameter
