Running temp

During the summer my temp gage would just be above the 100 mark and not go much higher. Now it is winter and it is the same. I also notice the heat does not blow real hot like my other car.
On that note the defrost sucks on this car. Anyone else have anything like this.

thermostat needs replacing or low on coolant would be the first things I would check.
The constant 100 deg temp. leads me to the thermostat, but check the fluid before replacing.
that is the easyest and cheepest way to start the process of elimination.

I had the identical problem with my daughter's 92 Roadmaster. I had put a new thermostat and radiator in the car when it was given to her, and the temp never went much above 100.

I changed the thermostat AGAIN last week, and it is now fine--I would use a 190 or higher thermostat.

The engine is big, and it seems like it just does not want to warm up in winter.

I found it hard to believe that the new thermostat put in in July was bad, but it in fact was the case.

Good luck.

That fixed it. Was stuck open. Now have heat and a warmer running temp.
