Source for 96 Tahoe interior parts - seat motor, window & light switch?Adventurer_96 12-13-2007, 12:19 AM Rather than buy new headlight & window switch assemblies, I want to know if there's a decent source for used parts like this. I haven't been able to find a junkyard with a mid-90's Chevy truck/SUV online, and I'd rather not spend $40 for the headlight switch & $60-ish if memory serves for the rear window switch, as I just need the black switch cover. Also, any recommendations on where to find a replacement seat motor? I'm hoping that a junkyard might have the same. I just got my Tahoe last weekend, and I'm excited to get it up and running. Thanks in advance... '97ventureowner 12-13-2007, 12:25 AM I've recommended www.car-part.com to other people for used parts for their vehicle. You can enter your vehicle's info in their search box and get results. You can also tailor the results to salvage yards closer to your proximity or search the whole country. The results are listed by price and also where they are located, contact info for the salvage yard, and sometimes shipping costs. Adventurer_96 12-19-2007, 01:14 AM Thanks for the tip, I'll keep that link in my favorites. I was on a work trip to Tucson, so I picked up the parts I need on a lunchbreak trip to a junkyard. I overpaid ($20 for a headlight switch & rear door window switch) but it saved me money. I'll disassemble the lightswitch and take off the knob, I'll have to look and see if the 2001+ knobs will fit on the older switches. I like the newer knobs because they're plastic, not melting silly putty. vBulletin®, Copyright ©2009, Jelsoft Enterprises Ltd.
