I have been having an issue with a "thumping" noise coming from the wheels (at least I think it is the wheels). Last night I replaced the two front tires and the "thumping" seemed to be gone for a short time. Now it is back. What is the problem?

Be specific. When do you hear the thump?

Hello "Thumping" Are you in a cold weather zone? If so check the quality of your tires. The thumping could be the tire freezing and as it warms up it goes away. Just an idea. If it is in your tires, that is the only possibility.
