Hello all!!! My girlfriend drive a 99 alero v-6. Every morning when she starts it her coolant light appears and doesnt shut off until she starts driving or car gets warm. Im pretty sure this means she needs coolant but i just want to be sure. If this is the case, where does the coolant go in the reserve tank or in the radiator itself? If it goes into the radiator, how do you get to the cap???

Thank You

Welcome to AF.

Coolant is added into the plastic reservoir tank which is pressurized and has the 15 psi cap. The radiator is a sealed unit with no separate filler.

I kinda figured that's where it goes, but i just wanted to make sure. With all my other cars i usually just put in right into the radiator. Thanks A lot for your help!!
