Racing Seat Mounting Brackets95 Grand AM GT 12-07-2007, 06:23 AM I'm ordering these seats for my car: http://www.andysautosport.com/images/detailed_product/interior/seats/racing_seats/spyd_28-rs-th-pvc-rdbk.jpg http://www.andysautosport.com/pontiac/1992_1995_grand_am/interior/seats/racing_seats/spyder_auto/spyd00125804.html I also ordered this Sparco Seat Bracket Universal Slider: http://www.andysautosport.com/images/detailed_product/interior/seats/seat_bracket/00493.jpg http://www.andysautosport.com/pontiac/1992_1995_grand_am/interior/seats/seat_bracket/sparco/spar00035635.html Are these the right things to mount my seats on? Do I need anything else? I don't know much about putting in new seats, other than how to take the old ones out. Thanks for your time and any response you give. I appreciate it. P.S. For this specific thread, I don't think its necessary, but just in case its needed, my car is a 1995 Pontiac Grand Am GT 2Door with an automatic V6 3.1L xeroinfinity 12-07-2007, 09:54 AM You may not even need that universal bracket. Thiers no set rules realy for installing seats. Either they'll line up with the factory slide or not. The PITA is when the factory slide doesnt fit the seats and the bracket doesnt line up with the bolts in the floor. You might need to fabricate items to get everything to work. A tape measure will come in handy. :grinyes: 95 Grand AM GT 12-08-2007, 07:13 AM Ok thanks. So I shouldn't order any mounting hardware until the seats come and I can see if they line up with the factory sliders? xeroinfinity 12-08-2007, 09:54 AM Well, I would measure the distance of the factory slides(center of mounting hole(s)) then check the measurements of the seat(s) you are buying. If they are more then 1-2" off, then I would order the universal slider, if nothing else you can send the universal slider back if not needed. let me know how it comes out. vBulletin®, Copyright ©2009, Jelsoft Enterprises Ltd.
