My suv's check engine light came on the other day. When I had the check engine light tested. It read Code PO505. Which is Idle Control System Malfunction. I am wondering what this means, and what I can do to fix this. I have asked two people about it, and one told me it could be the vacume hoses. And the other person said it could be the idle control valve. But they said they really had no idea about this problem. I really have no idea what this could be?

I would like to know what the Code PO505 Idle Control System Malfuction means. What it cost to fix. How can I fix it. Where it is located. If it is the Vacume Hoses, Idle Control Valve, or something else.

Does anyone have pics of where to look for the Idle Control System? or can tell me where it is located?

Give me any advice you may have.

Please respond if you know anything.:frown: Thank you very much.
