I have a 98 Malibu. Recently THe lock feature of the power door locks does not work. I can manually lock the doors, but this is a pain. I can also use the power door locks to unlock the car. :banghead: what would cause just the lock part to not work.
Also In August I had not driven my car for about a week. When I tried to start it, it was dead. I got a jump and everything was fine. Except the trunk started to pop open anytime I put the car in park or shifted through Neutral. :screwy: I unhooked the trunk release cable in the trunk and it has been fine.
Any help with these issues would be greatly appreciated.
Thanks,
John

Sounds like your actuator is pooched. maybe some broken teeth

Your trunk release button may be shorting out on you. Reconnect the cable and remove the button. If that works get a new button.
