1999 Silverado trailer light problem

All my turn signals and stop lights work on the truck....but on the trailer I get running lights and a myriad of unwanted lighting when the brakes and turn signals are applied, the brake lights go off, etc.I checked at the factory trailer plug and some voltages for the RH turnsignal aren't there.I had a bunch of trailer wires that were chaffed under the trailer which I replaced/repaired.I think there may be a problem in the rear lamp buss up under the pickup bed.I checked the plug on the rear of the trailer connector and all the buss plugs and they were nice and shiny.I am curious if this buss is a solid state device that could have been damaged due to those chaffed shorted wires I repaired.

Thanks,

Check your fuses. There are two trailer light fuses (right and left). They may have blown when the wires shorted.

Thanks....I found the left side blown.I didn't know there were separate fuses in the engine power box.
