No brake lights or hornEZFrank 11-29-2007, 08:39 AM The other day i notice that i started my car and i couldnt put it in drive:banghead: had to put my key in the slot by the shifter to put it in neutral and start my car and when i stopped my brake lights didnt work either and my horn dont work i checked all the fuses and relays and are all good i swaped out the switch at the brake pedal and still no brake lights, all my other lights are working turn signal and even headlights i cant figure out what the problem is i checked most of the wiring and connections and all look good. My next step is the cruise control box to see if that works. If any one gone through this and can help me out i would really appreciate any help. Thanks :banghead: FrankC:banghead: Copytech99 11-29-2007, 02:59 PM The brake and the horn circuit share a common fuse, Should be marked on the fuse box lid. If the fuse is o.k. You will need to see if the fuse has voltage present (DMM or test light) If the fuse is blown, replace with same amperage fuse and try horn and brake to see if it opens again (indicating problems) EZFrank 12-06-2007, 06:21 PM Well i checked to see if i voltage at the fuse and it does i went and checked to see if my cruise control worked and it did and also disengaged when i stepped on the brake so i think the brake pedal switch is good so know i need to see if i have power at switch for brake lights. vBulletin®, Copyright ©2009, Jelsoft Enterprises Ltd.
