I have been trying to get my friends X5 garage door opener to program with my garage door opener, but it seems as though it doesn't work. I've been told that it most likely not work. I've tryed the program button on the unit and that doesn't work. If someone out there knows a trick that I don't know about then please let me know.

I had to program the button in the X5 then hit the program button on the opener itself, then hit the button in the car with in 15 seconds and then it worked. Found that out by accident.
