I have an 06' F-350 w/6.0L Diesel that has clogged the fuel filter up with rust and wiped out multiple injectors. The trusk is only 1.5 yrs old and has 19K miles, how does this happen? Where does the rust come from?

The dealer says it is not warranty because it is contaminated fuel, but to think that much rust came from the fuel station everyone would be having the same promblems that fill up there.

The truck does have an auxilary 100 gal aluminum tank in the bed too. Locking gas caps.

Any help would be greatly appreciated.

you should be replacing your fuel filters once every 10-15K (with that large of a tank i would go for 10K) you can buy a small allen wrench(6mm) and drain the fuel water seperator your self, once every few weeks or so.
the oil water seperator is on the drivers side frame rail, close to the cross member. there is only one 6mm alen screw on the housing so its hard to screw it up.
take the screw out, let it drain all over the place. when its done, screw it back in. just make sure that the engine is off and the keys are out of the ignition.
