owner of a 300M/looking for head light bulbs information

I own a 300M/2000 year..

..My car is as fit in performance.. since the year I purchased in the year 2000.. however the value in investment for the vehicle drops drastically, other than this fact..I love the vehicle.

I'm in the process of upgrading the vehicle in appearance such as putting a spoiler on and changing the headlights brightness...etc.

I'm have a problem locating bulbs that will give me the brightness and fog lights brightness in parralle..some say Xenon or hyper whites bulbs..not looking for any bulbs that offer a slight blue tint in appearance onced installed.

Any suggestions?

xenons are the ones with blue tint hyperwhites are the extremly bright whit color

I like what the SilverStars have done to our Excursion lighting. I plan on upgrading to those on the 300M. You can get them @ PepBoys, Autozone, etc...

Also Walmart has the silverstars cheaper than those from Kragen's with the manufacture's discount!!!

im very happy with the PIAA Xtreme White bulbs that i got a few weeks ago for my altima. Be careful though. If you buy the wrong bulbs with the incorrect wattage you will melt your wire harness. The 300m headlights are plastic and cheap aftermarket bulbs will melt them from the inside fogging up your headlights.

Silverstars are excellent Headlamp Bulbs, I had them on my long lost 95 concorde and I loved them. They have that slight blue tint but made signs and road markings much whiter looking. Even though the wattage rating is the same (55/65 Watts for a 9007 Bulb) as the regular bulbs something about them makes the light output seem brighter. Do not (Like op012503 stated) buy bulbs that have a higher wattage rating than stock or you will melt and then will be replacing the headlight assembly down the line and today's headlight assemblies are not cheap to replace.

I have Silverstars in my moms 1998 Intrepid and they are nothing compared to the HID lights in my 300M. I got my HID lights from a 2003 Chrysler 300M Special Edition.

Comparing Halogen / Xenon lamps with High Intensity Discharge lamps (HID) is like comparing apples and oranges. The halogen or xenon bulbs will always have a lower lumens output per watt (700/1000 lumens at 50/55 Watts Low Beam and 1200/1500 lumens at 60/65 watts High Beam) when compared with HID which as a lumens output that is 3X brighter with less wattage (3000+ lumens at 35 watts Low Beam only).

The sad thing is you can not put the HID bulbs (That is "true HID" and not the "Looks like HID" bulbs) in a standard headlight system that is designed for halogen bulbs because of the reflector design of the headlight, swapping out headlight systems like IceShaver511 did to the 300M is the only way to get HID lights.

its acually not that the Halogen Reflector is not design to hold HID lights, it is that the Xenon Lightbulb is much longer than the Halogen bulb, so the light output is not in the correct spot in the reflector.
