The 4 wheel drive on this blazer slipped into 4 low tonight and will not come out. Pressing AUTO, 2 High or 4 High may cause the indicators to blink on and off for a few seconds, but then it reverts back to 4 low. Does anyone have any ideas?

I have been checking around, I don't think this is going to be an easy one to fix yourself. From the GM service manual you need a scan tool to check the four wheel drive module for DTC's. That is the first step then the next step is to visually inspect all wires and hose relating to the transfer case. From experience we usually end up replacing the "transfer case encoder motor" or the "transfer case shift control module" Sorry I can give you anything easier to work with.
keep me posted if you have any other questions I will be happy to help.

I had the same problem with my 01 Blazer/Trailblazer. It was the encoder motor, it takes 30 min to replace it yourself. Dealership will charge around $900 to replace a $200 part. At a $100 and hr labor I still dont know how they come up with $900. Buy it and do it yourself. I suggest a used one with a 30 day warranty from a used truck parts place. I payed $125.
