My 2001 silverado 5.3 z71 was dead when I went out this morning and I had to jump it, drove to the store and left it running. When I left the store it died and barley cranked over but did and I drove a little farther and it died while going down the road. The volt meter shows over 14 and I can see the green eye in the battery. Never have had a problem with the electrical before??? Any suggestions???

Have battery checked and also check and clean battery cable ends.

Sounds like your Altenator may be going bad.

It may be a very loose connection in your battery as well. Check your (+) on your battery mine literally fell out and I thought it was ok at the time...
