Anyone remember the XJS?Landbarger 12-04-2002, 08:31 AM It seems wrong that we are all forgetting about what may have been more of the illegitimate child of Jaguar lineage. But the XJS's were pretty quick, rode well, and looked very nice even if they were not in the XKE and D-type traditions of flowing beautiful lines. Only ending their production run in 1995-96 though, it seems a shame that this great Jag of a 20 year production run has been forgotten so soon. Swoxy 12-05-2002, 01:01 PM Yeah I do! It was and still is a great car, have a look at this one with Aston Martin DB7 wheels. Swoxy 12-05-2002, 01:08 PM This one has a bodykit. Landbarger 12-06-2002, 11:00 AM Yeah, I really like that body kit. I think it's from Erebuni Corp. It almost makes the whole thing seem more substantial. I tried to get my friend to get it put on his '85 XJS after someone backed into his front bumper in a parking lot. He was going to have to pay app. $1000 to get the bumper fixed anyway, the kit is only $1077, I think. Swoxy 12-06-2002, 12:05 PM Did he put it on? This is the official JaguarSport one ... my favourite. Swoxy 12-06-2002, 12:12 PM And this is the Lister one. Landbarger 12-08-2002, 01:55 PM Unfortunately, he didn't. I've got a standing offer to buy it, but his dad is pretty attached. I'm hoping when he goes to college he'll need the money. In which case, do you know where to find the official Jaguar Sport panels? Swoxy 01-05-2003, 01:52 PM I don't think you can buy the official JaguarSport kit any more unless someone has one stored somewhere, or you take them from another car. Keisler Automotive sells a replica of the official Jaguar kit at http://www.keislerauto.com/Jaguar/body_styling/body_kits.html. Let mw know if you do buy it. Henrik 08-10-2003, 12:52 AM We love our 1993 Red XJS. XJS should have its own category here. Swoxy 11-11-2003, 05:43 PM Sounds nice, do you have any pictures/info of it? CeeJay 12-05-2003, 06:01 PM Here's the very first American advertisement for the XJS. http://homepage.ntlworld.com/compunightmare/xjs.jpg bobby28384 12-13-2003, 03:12 PM Yes!!
