Alignment and brakes

I recently had my truck aligned because it was pulling to the right. The mechanic performed the alignment but said it was only slightly off and that my real problem was a faulty front right caliper that constantly engaged the brake pads to the rotors. I have since replaced the caliper and the truck still pulls right. Any ideas? The mechanic said it might be an issue with the tires. I need the truck for a road trip over the Thanksgiving holiday so I would like to get this resolved as soon as possible. Any help is greatly appreciated.

He's right, tires can cause a pull or drift to one side or the other. Swap the front tires side to side and see if it still pulls. Assuming the alignment was done properly, it should track true. Keep in mind, a technician can adjust all of the alignment angles within spec, and the vehicle may still pull. Some alignment shops provide the customer with a print out of the before and after alignment angles. If you recieved one, post the angles for both front wheels. A stuck caliper can also cause a pull or drift. While the front end is jacked up, have an assistant apply the brakes, both front wheels should spin freely as soon as the brake pedal is released.
