Gauges all died, and the air blower ('92 4x4)

Hey guys... So I start up my '92 4x4 to find the entire instrument panel is dead... no speedometer, odometer, rpm meter, fuel, oil pressure, battery, or temperature. Also the interior air will no longer blow at all. This happened at the same time and seems like an odd combination of devices to stop working, when everything else (stereo, interior lights, headlights) is all fine and good. Is this something common or any ideas...? Thanks!

Oh yeah, the speedometer had been kicking on and off for a few weeks now (the odometer would also stop running until the speedometer would kick back on).

That's 2 different fuses (HEATER and ENGINE), both in the fusebox under the hood (IIRC), check those. Other possibilities for the gauges are a bad ground or loose connection on the panel.

Well the "gauges" fuse under the driver side dash was blown. Replaced it and the panel works and so does the air. I didn't think it could be that simple. Just hope it doesn't keep blowing.. Thanks for the advice.

Strange, the wiring diagram showed different fuses.
Oh well, at least it's fixed.

I had the same problem. It burned out twice when I plowed over the steep driveway at work. I don't do that anymore and it hasn't burned out since.
