1993 Chevy Cavalier 2.2L 4 cylkyleakameastro 11-14-2007, 03:33 AM I have a 1993 Chevy Cavalier 2.2L 4 cyl. Would a Small Block Chevy 350 engine fit in it, and if it can't what do you recommend. I have asked so many people but no one has the same ansewer. I would like to know before I put the money out for one and when I drop it in it dont fit. notaricajustfasta 11-14-2007, 12:19 PM Anything will fit with time and money. They have put rocket engines in beetles. So... jakegday 11-14-2007, 12:36 PM physically yes it will fit, i have seen a 454 under the hood (barely) of a 3rd generation cavalier, however the only thing that will bolt right up is what the car came with from the factory, kyleakameastro 11-14-2007, 04:45 PM Ok than how would I bolt it up? notaricajustfasta 11-14-2007, 05:37 PM Bolt what up? The 350, sthe stock motor, the 454, or the rocket engine? 16th hippy 11-14-2007, 10:33 PM that's the good thing about my s-10, if i decide to, a small block will drop in without a whole lot of hassle...a big block on the other hand is a different story. jakegday 11-14-2007, 10:53 PM Ok than how would I bolt it up? if you want to bolt it right up, like i said before, you will have to get the same exact engine the car came with originally (which isnt the 350) that is the ONLY way anything will "bolt right up" MikeRWK 11-15-2007, 12:08 AM that's the good thing about my s-10, if i decide to, a small block will drop in without a whole lot of hassle...a big block on the other hand is a different story. Mini trucks and small blocks belong together :D And i doubt ur gonna get a 350 in a cavi not that its impossible but how many have u seen? 16th hippy 11-15-2007, 06:07 AM Mini trucks and small blocks belong together :D And i doubt ur gonna get a 350 in a cavi not that its impossible but how many have u seen? none myself. only problem with putting the small block in my truck is that it's been done so many times already. jakegday 11-15-2007, 08:18 AM its not a 93 and its not a 350, but its proof that ANYTHING is possible http://i2.photobucket.com/albums/y31/jakegday/cavalierv8.jpg yes this car actually runs, it has a 2 speed powerglide tranny, it was also converted to rear wheel drive, it was on ebay when i got this pic (if you couldnt already tell) notaricajustfasta 11-15-2007, 01:57 PM LOL. I was just talking to some kids at school about this. They think their civics are so fast and I said if I won the lottery I would do excatly as this picture shows. Chevy 350 with rear wheel drive.
