Compustar Alarm System Help fieds87 11-13-2007, 12:06 AM
I have an 02 Mitsubishi lancer OZ rally edition. i have installed everything on my car for the alarm and everything works except for the remote start. for some reason i can't get it to autostart unless i am in the car when i activate it and push on the clutch. that's the only way it will autostart with the clutch depressed. I have hooked up my reference wire to the engine management hookup in my fuse box. i think that is the wrong place to go with it. Anybody got advice on what to do and how to make it work? Thanks ponchonutty 11-14-2007, 08:16 AM You need to bypass the safety switch on the clutch. fieds87 11-15-2007, 02:11 AM So i did bypass the alarm but i think i got the wrong wire.from my starter wire on the brain, it goes to a relay and then has two yellow wires and a purple and a red coming out. i connected one yellow wire but i don't think its right cuz now i can start my car without pushing on the clutch. but if i disconnect the relay, it won't start at all. so i am not sure if i wired it wrong or not. any suggestions? Thanks ponchonutty 11-15-2007, 09:30 PM That relay you are talking about has 2 outputs. One is yellow which goes towards the starter. The other is yellow/black which goes towards the ignition switch. fieds87 11-18-2007, 12:22 AM So i wanna use the yellow one and run it to the starter or the clutch. and if the clutch, which clutch wire? thanks for the help btw. ponchonutty 11-19-2007, 09:40 AM No, the yellow is your starter output. If you use that to go to the clutch, you'll smoke something. You'll use the black status output or even the 2nd starter output to go to the clutch.
