I just bought an aftermarket stereo for my jeep. I have the dash install kit, and the harness for the jeep, but when i try to put the cd player in the dash, it doesnt fit. The wiring harness is keeping it out, and i have trimmed it down as much as possible. There is just no room to put the harness....any ideas?

if you are installing a Pioneer DEH-P77 1.5 DIN CD Receiver, then it should fit easily and you can do it yourself.

i had the same problem...just work at it....try to make it fit slowly...keep adjusting wires as you push new deck into place....i remember it was frustrating...but it can be done!!

I replaced mine with a Kenwood and it fit OK. The height & width were no problem, but I needed to tuck (force) some of the wires back into the stereo bay. There's some foam insulation at the back of the bay that can be pushed aside to reveal a bit more space to tuck wires. I chose NOT to pay someone to do it because (although Best Buy has "free" installation) they quoted AT LEAST $40 in parts (mounting bracket & wiring harness). The parts were available at Wal-Mart for about $10.
