Welcome to AF

It is a knock sensor code.
But could be caused by other things like wiring or pcm.
Look over wiring and see if knock sensor/sensors are pluged in.
Does the engine have any knocks or spark pining?

Clear code and see if it comes back.

Single or dual knock sensors and does it have electronic spark control?

Can you get a voltage reading on knock sensor circuit?
Do you have a scanner to check the knock signal in pcm.?

i just checked and the knock sensors are plugged in.

I cleared the code and it came right back.

I have dual knock sensors w/ESC

I will get a voltage reading on the knock sensor circuit tonight.

In the mean time, what if the voltage reading is low? And whats the worst case senerio for this kinda problem.

Thanks.....it's my first truck ( and domestic automobile :grinyes:)

Start with a voltage reading with key on and gear shift in dive.

put a new battery in yesterday night.
the voltage reading is around 10.

and jumps upto 14.5 when the engine is on.

also when driving with headlights, the voltage drops to 14
same with when turn signals are on, it toggles from 13.5 to 14.

When checking voltage on a computer circuit always use a good high end volt meter with low impedance.
