I replaced my driver's door and hinge pins today, and now my interior lights won't go out when I close the door. What triggers the lights to go on and off anyway? Is it a switch in the latch or something?

All the harness connectors are tight:frown:

On the body side of the vehicle in the pillar between the door hinges you will find a plunger syle switch that is depressed when the door is closed. Press on the switch with your finger to see if it works and shuts off the lights. If it does you may have to readjust the door hinges. How does the door close? Without any additional effort? Do the door gaps seem even top to bottom and front to rear?

Problem solved....I didn't realize that the jamb switch was actually mounted in the side of the dash on either side. With the door panel removed, there is nothing to contact the switch plunger. Lesson learned.......
