1/1 Accord Wagon Replicarod_k2 11-03-2007, 05:19 AM Hey all! I'll try to make this quickly: My brother owns a 98 model (I think) Accord Wagon,T4 model, here's a pic... http://i32.photobucket.com/albums/d49/2442830190593/DSC04795.jpg I'm going to reproduce it,in 1/24! So I bought a 2.3 Accord Wagon VTL from Aoshima, and it is just great! Parts fit nicely, exept for the openable rear hatch, which is going to be a little bit hard to line with the rest of the body, but some minor sanding will make it look good ;) To match the car's wheels,I bought some Fujimi idontknowthename wheel, that looks almost exactly the same... Here's the dry-fitted model, standing next to the real thing (Model alredy primed!) http://i32.photobucket.com/albums/d49/2442830190593/DSC04791.jpg http://i32.photobucket.com/albums/d49/2442830190593/DSC04792.jpg http://i32.photobucket.com/albums/d49/2442830190593/DSC04793.jpg Nice,eh!? So,I moved on the the things that had to be modded to make it a nice replica ;) The front grill!! The kit front grill looked like this one... http://www.ooetire.co.jp/accord%20wagon.jpg And,as you can see on the pictures above,my brother's grill has some...I don't it's name in english...Hmmm Steps? Pads?! o_O So,I went modding it... Stretched some sprue and I made it... http://i32.photobucket.com/albums/d49/2442830190593/IMG_3400.jpg But,the glue made it look all messy,so I'm thinking about cutting the Honda symbol off the grille, and make another one of styrene... And I drilled part of the bumper in order to make it... http://i32.photobucket.com/albums/d49/2442830190593/IMG_3402.jpg But let's do that later! When I test fitted the rear bumper, there was a gap, that would be VERY visible when the trunk was opened,so I went on and puttied it... http://i32.photobucket.com/albums/d49/2442830190593/IMG_3408.jpg That's it for now! Comments, suggestions, and corrections are very welcome! Thanks for viewing this thread! Tripmaster 11-03-2007, 08:59 AM nice car, good luck with rest of the project ;) energon 11-03-2007, 12:28 PM Aside from the wheels it looks like a really nice Accord!! Not a fan of the wheels though. But looks like you're doing a great job replicateing it!! NOMADGAMER 11-03-2007, 01:05 PM the wheels are almost identical to the 1:1, but they are not my taste. progress looks great! vBulletin®, Copyright ©2010, Jelsoft Enterprises Ltd.
