hey all, this is my latest WIP, a tamiya 1/20 fiat abarth 131, as rallyed in the 1978 portugal rally.the car is in the works alitalia colours, which suits the car nicely i think, this model kit is a really nice one i think, if you like a few extra details, ive never brought a kit that comes with spark plug wires before, usually i have to make them, not to mention a trunk with an entire fuel system in it, a driver and navigator, decals for the tamiya pit crew kit if you happen to have it,and even mud flaps for a stationary vehicle, or a set to make the car look as if its in motion. its quite a large kit, so this will take some time, here is the progress so far, ive started the decals, and started the engine.

and would anyone have any reference pics of the interior of the 1978 fiat abarth rally car? i want to add more detail to it, but have no idea where to put what,or for that matter, what to put in at all.

Great start, you just need a steady hand when taking your pictures :-)

Nice to see this car being built, cant remember seeing another WIP of this one before.

:licka: yeh, im absolutly terrible at taking pictures :icon16:
ive only seen it being built once before, about a year ago, by "Sjelic", but that was the 1980 monte carlo version, so i really hope I do this car justice with this build.i wish more people were building them.its such a nice kit

I really like what you´ve done so far. Looks like you have a lot of work ahead of you. Good luck with all the stuff to do in the interior.

P.S.: Great subject. You´re absolutely right, we don´t see these kits that often on here!

Nice to see that one. I built same kit couple of months ago, but I was not very happy about the result. The quality of the kit was quite poor and maybe that's why I didn't get the right feeling what I was doing.

Here you can find some reference pics: http://pic1.piczo.com/classicrallymodels/?g=1
