I just bought a replacement lower radiator hose. There is a hard black plastic fitting on the radiator end of the hose, not the usual hose clamp.
Is there some special trick to installing the black plastic fitting to the radiator. Normally I might just take the plastic off and use a clamp, but I see a similar fitting on the hose I am about to remove.
Help is much appreciated.

Cut the plastic band on the old one to get it off. Then just shove the new one on. Also, you may have 2 "O" rings to be replaced on the radiator outlet before putting the new hose on.
