2000 Dodge Intrepid ES TransGatorFan245 10-29-2007, 09:37 AM About a couple of weeks ago the trans started to to become really hard to shift and it woudnt stay in gear properly. the other day me and my friend were under the car and noticed leaking of the transmission fluid but when we checked, the level was correct. Im thinking its the linkage in the car. I need some 1's advice so i dont spend a fortune replacing the transmission.. wafrederick 11-03-2007, 02:17 PM Does the service engine light come on?Get it scanned first with a scan tool for codes. The 1998 and up transmission do not go out and most auto salvage yard do not sell them. They sit on the shelf not being sold.It could be the speed sensors and that is the most common problems with them. Here is the general rule on electronic controled transmissions,if the speedometer does not work, transmission does not shift. vBulletin®, Copyright ©2009, Jelsoft Enterprises Ltd.
