1997 Lumina speedometer calibration

Is there a way to recalibrate the speedometer on a 1997 Lumina. I replaced the instrument cluster with one that had a tach, and had to remove the odometer to adjust it up to the same mileage as on the original. In order to do that quickly, had to go from 117,000 to 129,000, I took the speedo needle off and actually removed the odometer. I tried to make sure the needle went back on in the same orientation, but now when I am going 30MPH per my scan tool and wife following in another car, it show 20MPH.

I know I could pop the needle off again and try to line it up 10MPH higher, but I figured that would be a hit and miss. Any easier ways?

Thanks

I fixed it. I am sure it was not the correct way, but what I did was pop theneedle off again, and went for a drive. set the cruise and got the car going 50 MPH per my scan tool and then pressed the needle back on. 1st try!!! Now it agrees with the scan tool al the way up to 10-70 MPH.
