Is approx. a half inch vertical play (with a twist) too much play when you pull up on the rotor/ dist. shaft? thanks. old_master 10-26-2007, 07:39 PM Distributor shaft end play should be .010 to .015 It can be adjusted with shims. I just noticed when i had the cap off, what i thought was excessive play -up & down - in the shaft. Since it can be shimmed, are there replaceable bushings or any seals to be checked also?
