86 TOYOTA PU 22R ENGINE-will not idle

My 22R (carburatored) PU idles high at initial (cold) start up but after 2-3 miles of driving cuts off when stopping, say at a stop sign.
It will restart with no problem but must accelerate to keep it running.
Additionally, when driving in high gear (manual) at a slow rate of speed the truck starts "bucking"!!

Upon racing the engine it emits black smoke from the exhaust!

Please help!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!1

Does it idle when its cold? The black smoke indicates that it is burning rich. It could be your EGR is stuck.

Yes, it idles when the engine has cooled-but it idles at an above normal rpm!
