Please limit yourself to one post per question.

IIRC, the DRL is controlled only by a relay located in the underhood electrical center. The decal on the cover identifies the relays. The relay is isolated from the Body Control Module via a diode. This diode is also located in an underhood center, and occupies a position adjacent to the mini ATO fuses. If the BCM provides a ground through the diode, the diode is intact, the relay is operational, and the two associated fuses for the DRL relay and DRL power circuits are intact, the lights should work.

Also, BOTH of the high beam lamp filaments must be intact, or neither will light in DRL mode.

Thanks a million for the information. My lights flicker sometimes and I am trying to narrow down the problem. The relay is fine, I will look for the DIOD to see if it has problem. Thanks again.

Is it the daytime running lights that flicker, or any exterior lights? The headlamp switch on later Luminas is known to go out frequently. I would check that out too.

To answer the location question, the DRL module is situated above and between the e-brake and the brake pedal under the steering wheel. There's one fuse for DRL, and a photocell for automatic headlamp control located near the windshield defrost vents.

Thanks for the info. Yes, all the lights including the dash and Radio display. The photo cell seems to be working, because the problem exist even when I use the headlight switch to turn the lights ON.
